Biography
Ava Gadsby, born August 25, 2011, is a aspiring golfer and entrepreneur.
She began playing golf aged 8 and was swifty scouted by Cambridge County Golf, Ava has built an unprecedented competitive career to date. Her achievements on the course– 28 wins and 7 team events –have mirrored her success off the course as well with her education.
Gadsby is currently Brand Ambassador and is signed to the Elite performance athlete program for The Rasha. Which Ava has also been using alongside her golf training this season to help with her focus and mental part of the game, helping to remain calm under pressure. And building a champion mindset and materialising her objectives. The RASHA is the only Base-12 scalar-plasma-sound energy technology that is capable of reprogramming the intron DNA, which can help an individual or group of individuals reclaim their innate ability called “Consciousness -Coherence”. In the last two years Ava has won over 28 times recording some amazing achievements against tough competition. Also being one of the youngest on the tour she has demonstrated a remarkable stamina for the game. In 2021 she competed in a 36 hole championship at the prestigious Hillside Golf Club in southport. Winning on countback and a tremendous achievement considering she was only 10 years old at the time. Last year she won the Hertfordshire County under 16 Schools Scratch Rose Bowl Championships. As well as The under 18 Mixed Junior Open at the Grove, winning the event with a Nett 69. Whilst also winning the girls longest drive on the famous Tiger Woods Hole 9.
Ava is the daughter of Robin Gadsby, an advertising executive in London working for brands such as Google, O2, Mizuno and Etihad Airways, and his wife, Jo, originally from Southport and sister to Two time European Tour Winner Lee Slattery. She is nicknamed ‘Amazing Ava’ after at an early age she would produce breathtaking shots on the golf course that some would never dare to attempt.
Ava grew up in Hertfordshire, England. She took an interest in golf at age 8, watching her Grandad John Slattery hit golf balls into a net and imitating her Uncle Lee Slattery’s swing.
After winning a couple of smaller events in Hertfordshire, Ava played in her first Junior open tournament in 2022, at age 9, at the Redbourn Junior Open, and on her debut scoring a Nett 69 to win the event.
To date, Gadsby has compiled one of the most impressive records in golf to date, winning 8 US Kids Junior Championships, 2 British Junior Golf Tour events also coming runner up in a boys event beating 25 other players and 18 Junior opens around the country. And this year she has qualified for the IMG World Championships for the second time running.
Ava is currently playing for the East Herts Ladies Scratch Team, The East Herts Junior Club Team and is in the girls Hertfordshire County first team squad. And this year, will be one of the most active golfers in the country competing in over 50 plus tournaments in 2024. Ava Gadsby’s achievements extend beyond the golf course; they inspire a generation of young athletes to pursue their dreams with determination and hard work. Her ability to maintain a high level of performance consistently, coupled with her academic commitments, exemplifies the balance that young sportspeople strive to achieve.
